Will there be new items to find/use in BGEE?

    You're in luck! That was one of the weapons they mentioned specifically.

    They've added some stuff indeed.

    The items I recall are some clubs and an elven chain.

    One of the clubs is the Penetrator from Saints row the third.

    I was looking over the kits again and realized there aren't any noteworthy armors for use by any of the ranger kits, or Avenger druids. I guess there is the Leather Armor +3 for Avengers but that's at the very tail end of Durlag's Tower and doesn't offer any fun tricky bonuses beyond that. For studded leather, best is just +2 unless you're a thief.

    Everyone else can get ridiculously low AC, decent AC for low weight, or some sort of bonus the armor bestows. When Robes of the Archmagi offer more protection than the best armor you can obtain purely from an AC standpoint... Just saying.
