    How is a "hard save" different from a regular save?

    Sounds like I am going to have to call up the worst of the worst for this one; I'll even leave Jaheira behind. If you tell me that even "Big Al", Hexxat, Kagan, Viconia and Edwin will be appalled by Dorn's quest, I'll be seriously intimidated.

    What he means by hard save is that you should make a save you won't erase. Not one you save on periodically just to have a save of your progression, but one from which you can load if the long-term events do not feel the way you want.
