Hotkey'd Spells

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Greetings

Got a problem, appreciate any clarity.

I have certain spells hotkey'd for my Wizards for common spells like Magic Missile etc... so for MM i use Key 'N' however with my Fighter/Illusionist these hotkeys for spells do not work.... If its been addressed point me in the direction please
