Dead companions

I have 2 dead companions, can I switch their spots out with someone else, and still come back to resurrect them later if I wanted? They arent gored out.

    No, if you dismiss a dead companion they're gone forever.

    But could summon them via console but they won't have the same experience. Though you could always add the experience via said console.
