Hexxat not eaten by sleeper, just disappears. Bug? (spoilers)

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
On iPad mini, after killing Dragomir we get through colored cloud. A mist appears, hexxat disappears and says "the sleeper awakes, ... I did what you asked." . Then that is it. She is no longer in my party. From reading I gather she is supposed to get eaten? But this doesn't happen?

    Check your purchasables from the main game menu. Does Hexxat look purchased? Sometimes there may be a bug so you may need to tap 'restore purchases'
    If the game thinks Hexxat content is not purchased it won't spawn exclusive Hexxat content.
