Cannot change portrait without it switching back after 3 seconds.

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
So, as specified in the title, I have trouble switching my portrait. I recently installed a mod called "templates", which allows you to become a vampire or lich or death knight etc, once conditions have been met. I made myself a vampire blackguard but unfortunately the portrait with which I am stuck with is too small to see the hp or buffs etc that I might have, so I figured oh well I'll just switch to another. Only after about 3 seconds in game, it automatically switches back to the vampire one which is too small, I took a few screen shots so you guys could see what I'm talking about. I'm not sure if the mod is causing it or not. I've never encountered this problem before.

As you can see the portrait is too small, but changing it via the EE editor or ingame does nothing to keep the portrait changed.
