iPhone, iOS 8.3: How to Import BG:EE save/char into BG2:EE

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
What is the proper / supported way of transferring my BG:EE save/char to BG2:EE on iPhone running iOS 8.3?

I've seen mentioning of using iFunbox and an "export to BG2:EE" option when exporting character in BG:EE, but I have no luck with either.

Any help would be welcome. I just bought BG2:EE hoping to continue my adventure, but I'm utterly stuck.

    Export yout character. From the character screen. When you type the name and save the character file, a sub menu should appear 'open in bg2' tap on it.

    Yeah... Thanks, but...

    Tried that, but no submenu showed up for a new save, and only the overwrite/cancel menu showed up for an existing file. I even tried that on both the final save and a non-final save.

    Overwrite on an existing character file with a different name. This will save the character file in a different name. Only after that, the sub menu appears.

    Tried all (thinkable) combinations - new file, overwrite existing file, final save, non-final save, short name, longer-than-8-characters name, spaces in name, no spaces in name... even a specific name "BG2EE" 8D

    Maybe this should be filed as a bug report, but I wonder if it should be a BG:EE cannot export, or a BG2:EE cannot import. And I wonder if this is iOS specific, or just iPhone specific.

    Looks like it. Perhaps they should work on cloud saves via Dropbox, killing two birds with one stone.

    With Adventure Y in their pipeline, maybe they're not gonna do quick fixes on BG:EE. Probably have to wait for their next scheduled release.

    I agree PST should have an EE. These games on my phone actually allow me more time to finish them! I never finished BG when it first came out, and now I've finished BG:EE including TotSC!

    They should bring back all old Bioware D&D games so I can finish them all! 8P

    What we thought was a quick and simple solution wasn't as simple as we'd hoped. But we have some things to try, so don't lose hope just yet.

    Since I'm waiting for the fix, I think I'm gonna get started on IWD:EE. I'd been playing BG:EE any chance I could get, and it's weird having nothing to do. (and I don't want to start BG2:EE without importing my character) 8D

    Fixed as of v1.3.1.

    But now that I've started IWD:EE, I just might have to hold back until I'm done with that. (Or spend twice the time doing both! 8P)
