Edwin doesn't reappear after I rescue Dynaheir

I've just rescued Dynaheir and returned to Nashkell with her in my party. No Minsc though. He died on the way to the fortress.

At Nashkell shouldn't Edwin be waiting to start a fight on the southern bridge? I'm sure that used to happen in vanilla BG but there is no sign of him.

    This very question was asked a few weeks back (though I can't remember which thread). Anyways, even though the dialogue for the encounter is present in the game files it was never fully implemented. You must have been using a mod.

    No mods were involved. I used to just have vanilla BG (5 CD set), TotSC and the version 5512 patch installed. Maybe the patch fixed the encounter.

    If it isn't supposed to happen in BG:EE then everything is fine. I was worried that there might have been a glitch with my current game.

    When I played BGEE Edwin was waiting outside the tavern (the one with Volo) near the bridge. In BG he was waiting on the bridge.
