Can not see the save games after reinstall of BG1 and BG2

Hi,

moved to a new computer and decided to maybe continue my BG2 game. Copied the files in the right folder but can't see the saves in game. When starting a new game in BG2 the save shows up next to my old files...
Thought it may be BG2, but it is the same for BG1.
Suggestions? Maybe I am just being stupid.
