Neverwinter Nights 2 toolset

So I have been fiddling with this thing for 2 looooong days, and I am slowly getting the hang of it, but frustration is a common enemy still with this toolset, and now I am completely lost, so hopefully maybe somebody from here might have some insight on how to help me out;

- I just figured out how to make npcs join your team, but they don't do anything, they don't follow, and I assume they don't attack ( haven't made any enemies yet) does anybody know how to make team mates act normally?

    You probably haven't given them (the right) scripts.

    but which ones do I give? I looked at the scripts that the npc slaan had, and give them all to my joinable character and the character doesn't follow you, they just stand there
