Moonstone gem disappeared !..cannot continue TotLM

in IWD:EE Bugs (v1.4.0)
For whatever reason, the moonstone gem (needed for the night chest) disappeared from my inventory. No matter where I looked on my characters and on the map (jacklewere level) its no where to be found. I had it and now its gone and I am unable to open the gate and finish TotLM. I looked in every chest, cave, character equip location..nothing. I successfully put the flawless gems in all the other chests. Please help ! I will have wasted a large amount of time if this doesn't get a work around.

    I suppose you could just open the console and use C:CreateItem("dgem04"); to put one into your inventory. If you have NearInfinity you can also decompress your saved game and examine ar9800, looking at all the containers to see if it got misplaced.
