    Does anyone have stats on announcement to release for the previous games?

    Trent said they were trying to get it out later this year, but he also stressed that the only date they'd hold themselves to is "when it's done." I, for one, support that plan wholeheartedly. Baldur's Gate deserves better than a rushed expansion.

    Baldur's Gate: released end of 1998.
    Siege of Dragonspear: released end of 2015.
    They certainly got the 'no rushing' part right...

    But honestly, I second that: better to have a (relatively) bug-free, polished expansion in spring / summer 2016 than some hastily pushed out bug-fest for christmas 2015.

    I'd be inclined to think that they've been working on it for quite a while and are announcing it now because it's nearing a polished version.

    If it isn't out by Christmas it would just seem that it's been announced too early.
