    When these forums were young, I recall posting a plot outline for BG3 (and 4!) which involved both Dragonspear Castle and Warlock's Crypt (and Waterdeep too). Hmmm, thanks for reminding me ... that outline was an after-ToB story (in which Our New Hero was working with the worshippers of the newly-ascended Gorion's Ward), but nevertheless some aspects of SoD sound as if Beamdog may have adopted a couple of my ideas.
