persistent color bug involving the Girdle of Masculinity/Femininity

I thought it would be a funny to play the entire game with Kagain wearing the Girdle of Masculinity/Femininity and an unusual bug turned up. When I load a save file, Kagain's color palette is wrong compared to the colors of the gear. I can unequip and reequip the armor and weapon and they become the correct color palette, and when I reload the game, it becomes the incorrect color palette again. This has followed me throughout the game.
