XP cap

I'm confused. I have a one person party, a thief. I entered the XP cheat and set her at the cap for the game (161,000 XP) this places her at being a level 10 thief. Now is that the highest level she can be really? Because when I look at her stats it shows the next XP jump to level 11 but if the cap is 161,000 how is that possible?

    You can also turn the pages in your spell book up to level 9 even though you will never reach that casting level in BGEE. The game has a bunch of stuff like that in anticipation of BG2EE.

    If you don't like the XP cap you can remove it. I've also heard (though I've never verified) that the game keeps track of your XP past the cap and gives it to you once you've exported your character to BG2EE.

    Yup Bg2tweaks pack has a exp cap remover.
