Mazzy won't talk to wallace

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I'm on the Mazzy's sister is poisoned quest and I was in Trademeet about to talk to Wallace. I thought I was supposed to talk to him so I tried but he only offers to sell stuff. Looking around online it seems that mazzy is supposed to talk to him automatically but that's not happening now. Are there any variables related to this quest I can change to reset this conversation or to move it along? Thanks!

    Had the same issue, loaded a save a bit earlier and it was fixed, Mazzy talked to Wallace as soon as she got close to him.

    I also had the same problem, but the dialogue started after my charname did speak with Mazzy (using the talk symbole or F1) in front of Wallace.
