[Multiplayer, Windows] Start With No Gold

Trying to play mp with a friend, to save time we pre-generated characters. When we started the game we had 0 gold, same if we generated the characters right there in the multiplayer session. When we import the characters to singleplayer they have money. I checked the filters and maximum import settings are enabled. Cannot import characters who have purchased armor/weapons either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
