Help Needed For Solo Swashbuckler Who has Reached Exp. Cap

So, Jan Solo, inspired by the tales of derring do she read on the Beamdog Forum decided to go it alone. Pah, who needs hangers on, brush them off she says.

It's been fun, but quite hard, lots and lots of running around, she is now super fit. Not so good at fighting face to face it has to be said, but arrows of biting have saved the day just about every day.

So Jan worked her way through the wilderness, all the wilderness, and finds that even before getting to Cloakwood, she has met a brick wall. She's not getting any better (sad face).

Apparently the various deities deem it proper that she is restricted in her endeavors to bring justice to Faeron.

Now she has heard that this can be overcome, so instructed her mentor to look for something called exp/Level Cap remover. But just as she is not so good at fighting, her mentor can't understand (eventhough she has found the various threads discussing this) how to do this.
In Jan's opinion, her mentor is a bit thick, her mentor is not going to argue with that.

So Jan Solo was hoping that somebody could explain it to her mentor in language that a two year old could understand and give her an easy (very, very easy) download link that could help Jan carry on. It's not that Jan can't continue, it's just that she's finding it a lot less fun when there's no point to actually killing stuff and doing quests, she has more money than she knows what to do with already.

Her mentor managed (God knows how) to download and install the NPC project mod, so we are talking that level of know how.

Jan says Thank you in advance.

Go to the first post in this thread:
    https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/10212/a-simple-xp-cap-remover/p1

    Download the .zip file attached.
Put the three files in your override folder.

Since you've already installed a mod, you probably already have an override folder, if you don't, follow the directions in that post to find where it should be and create it. He mentions where to find it for a Steam install, if you have a Good Old Games install, it should be here:
    C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\override

    OK got the overide folder.
I think I have put the download into it.
Now I have to change the _1?
    To what?

Or does the -1 mean the cap is removed?

When you hit the level cap it just means that you run through the rest of the game invisible until you get to Sarevok and then you kill the stuffing out of him.

The -1 means it's removed. You can put another number in there if you want to change the cap instead of removing it.
