does preload mean i get to download the components to the game early but the actual game will be locked until september 18th, or does it mean that i will get to download and play the game early? just curious

    Pre-Order means you get to buy it now, and then you can download it on 9/18. The only thing you really get by ordering early (that I know of) is a bonus badge for this forum, and a bigger discount on the price while that sale lasts.

    Well, there is the pre-loading. You download 90% of the game in the week before release and on the 18th you download the remaining 10% and voila, working game without having to download 1gig in one day along with a ton of other people.

    Trent said on twitter the plan is to have the preload up 1 week before release. You will be able to download everything except the key that allows you to start using it I imagine
