What is wrong with Rasaad's voice in BG2? [not the acting; but the files]

It is just grating. Did the sound engineer do a shoddy job integrating the voice acting in the manner of the other voice files.

I almost consider dumping Rasaad as it breaks immersion every time he opens his virtual mouth.

    All of the new NPCs are the same way, the sound like they're talking through a tin can sometimes. I actually notice it the most with Neera.

    In BG1 it was not this bad. It seems like their sound engineer really done goofed.

    It just seems too loud sometimes right? Like the voice actor was talking with the mic touching their lips. It's the same kind of sound I hear when I play NHL games online. The vanilla NPCS have smooth, crisp voice acting but the new ones just sound like someone cranked up the volume on their turtle beach headset.
