Messenger of Sseth; longbow or shortbow?

I'm a long time fan of the games (BG, BGII, etc) and I've decided to roll a new party in IWDEE that includes an archer. The problem is, I can't for the life of me remember if the Messenger of Sseth is a longbow or a shortbow. I looked around online for a while but couldn't find an answer - so I thought i'd ask the experts.

Can anybody help me?

Edit: I want to say it's indeed a longbow.

    Funny... IIRC it was a shortbow in 'vanilla' Icewind Dale.

    (blah, blah..)

    @sarevok57 indeed, it was/is/will be a longbow :blush:

    im pretty sure it has always been a longbow, I don't ever recall my thief being able to use messenger of sseth, oh and @Lilcriticals there is actually better bows than messenger of sseth like repeater ( which is found in IWD) and hammer arm ( which is found in HoW) and they are both long bows, so you definitely would want to have longbow anyways :)

    Messenger of Sseth with Haste or Oil of Speed was pretty sweet.

    +1 to Messenger of Sseth. I save the +3 arrows for the boss fights. Talk about death by a thousand pin pricks!
