Kindle Fire HD compatibility

With the recent announcement of the new Kindle Fire HD device and its updated hardware, I'm curious if there are plans to make an Android version of BG:EE for the Fire.

I know Amazon can be weird about allowing only some apps to come into the Amazon App store so I'm not convinced that an Android version would necessarily mean it'd work on the Kindle. Anyway, thought I'd ask.

    I think I've seen TrentOster mentioning on twitter that the Android version of BGEE would be on sale on Amazon but that doesn't ensure that it will be compatible with the Kindle Fire HD.

    I've been playing Forgotten Tales on the Fire... more Ultima-ish (NES- style anyway), but what bothers me is the speed that the game update process takes. Still running v 1.32 and 1.34 has been out for a month, according to the creator's FB page. If Amazon takes this long with ALL update approvals, then I'll just get BG:EE for my PC. Wait a month for a patch that other tablets have had? Nahhhh...
