Cinematic of the party abduction.

Hi, I always wondered how the abduction of the group by Jon Irenicus happened in BG. Could it be possible to realize a small cinematic of the abduction at the end of BGEE ? I think that it would be more immersive for the upcoming of BG2EE.

Ooh that would be cool :)
That said, wouldn’t this be difficult depending on your party at the end of BG1, I mean if its the typical Minsc, Imoen, Dynaheir, Khalid, Jaheira you’re sweet but if its anything else it becomes difficult doesn’t it.

In the same vein, it also depends on whether the developers are considering implementing the "More BG1 NPCs in BG2:EE; ex party members start with you” idea that someone had on here.

I’ve always thought the same that it would be cool to have that sort of thing at the end of BG1 but I’m just saying it could be difficult to properly implement

Well its speculated that the abducted group isn't actually the party that you complete BG 1 with, but instead your companions (I'm not sure what is canon Abdel-wise, but I'm not sure I care) are merely friends that visit you.

Either way, I see the starting party in BG2 as just something that you have to stoically ignore because if you don't then everything falls apart :)

I like the idea of a cinematic that ties up all the loose ends even if it's just CHARNAME and Immy.

Hmm actually that's a point, how will CHARNAME be represented? Silhouettes and shadows can cover that I guess as long as Immy is recognisable.

Sure, it was just an idea. Never said it's going to be easy. But either way, if you finish your game with Kagain, Coran, Imoen, Branwen or others there will always be a mismatch with the beginning of BG2 be it a cinematic or not.
