I pierced the secret of Ghaunadaur today. It was well hidden, but somehow I got it.
Its Wikia page says " Many clerics also took training as fighters or enchanters" and that he is the god of Oozes
You did not get it yet? Then here it is, a F/M/C using Mustard Jelly form is the one strongest possible class in the game, and that, with 0 cheating and but a small exploit.
Quick recap:
Mustard jelly gives:
100 Magic resistance
100 electrical resistance
100 piercing resistanve
50 cold resistance
30 slashing resistance
85 missile resistance
60 crushing resistance
Add DoE and Hardiness, you get an undispelable immunity to all kind of physical damage, except slashing (90%). Note that you can complete it with Armor of Faith and get full immunity to physical damage
What remains is:
Poison damage
Fire damage
Cold damage (50%)
Magic damage
Acid damage
I completed that with:
Ring of Gaxx
Ring of fire control
Cloak of the Lich
Helm of brilliance
The resistance from pride trial in Hell
That solves fire, cold and poison damage. Acid and Magic damage remain though. You can halven magic damage with Belt of Innertial barrier but it is nearly useless since you get 100% MR and no enemy except Marilith have on-hit magical damage, and that's once in 6 hits
That's, I believe, the best you can do with no temporary buff and without disabling wizard spells. I know you cannot use them as jelly anyway but if you have to polymorph back to human form and rebuff quickly midfight you want to have access to your spells.
With temporary buffs however you can reach total immunity:
Dark moon cloak gives Protection from Magical Energy 3 times a day, 4hours each, which solves Magic damage problem
Acid remains, and there is a level 5 wizard spell that deals with it, though there are few enemies that deal acid damage.
Magic resistance should prevent most status effect, and I can count on one hand the number of enemies that use Lower Magic Resistance or Pierce Shield.
Against these enemies you should be careful about subsequent status effects.
Now that you are the tankiest tank ever, you can focus on offensive power.
Yeah, a slime ain't that much of an offensive beast. That is, unless you dispel his slimy weapon with, for example, shocking grasp in a sequencer. After that, you can use your weapons normally. That's required to get DoE bonuses anyway.
Now just get Mainhand CF, offhand DoE, and go on a slimy rampage !
Note that you may alternatively go for a F/M instead of F/M/C. I'd recommend Gnome for the race, so that you get shorty bonus. Doing so, you renounce reaching 100% slashing damage resistance, capping at "only" 90%, though you will still have immunity to other types of weapon. You also lose access to Chaotic command but that's compensated by shorty bonuses I guess. However you get more Mage level, and notably get access to level 9 spells.

And it really struck me on the Wikia page of Ghaunadaur as well.
