how will dragonspear effect xp moving into bg2

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
apologies if this has already been answered, but has beamdog said anything about how this expansion will mesh with the next game? will we simply start the next game at a higher level?

    Have been mentioned many, many times already, even in topics on the first page of this forum.

    They plan to make the start of Baldur's Gate 2 more difficult.

    The devs have said that BG2 already has semi-scaling encounters (number and type of enemies that appear), which I assume is due to the difference in levels you can get by playing the game in different ways with different classes etc.

    They also said that they'll be looking at BG2 to make sure the game is still balanced after SoD import (keeping mind that you can import from BG:EE without SoD still, in addition to starting a new character in BG2 itself without importing).
