BG2 tweaks not working with BG:EE

As will be shown in the link below, Weidu opens up and gives me the option of typing 0 for English and 1 for Czech; however, when i type, nothing happens. no 0/1 shows up in the command prompt window, nor do any other letters/numbers. I've tried with/without numlock, as well as other mods; nothing's worked so far. Does anyone understand this issue, much less have a fix?

Additionally, mods work fine with my BG2:EE installation, so that just leaves me bewildered all the more.
