Poseidon Z keyboard crashes with Baldur's Gate EE in multiplayer mode

The Thermaltake Poseidon Z keyboard randomly stops working when playing BG EE in multiplayer (TCP/IP) mode with another PC in the same house. Usually, my Logitech wireless mouse stops working shortly after. The only way to recover from this is to reboot the PC and, the last time I did this, I got a "blue screen of death" with some kind of "quota underflow" error. I swapped the keyboard with the other computer and the problem followed the keyboard - i.e. it happens on any computer the keyboard is connected to but, so far, only when playing BG EE in multiplayer mode.
Does anyone have any explanation, fix or workaround for this issue?
