Does it count?

Hi all.
After my first run, I've decided to do a F/M/T Solo.
At the char creation for proficiences I choose Katanas, Crossbows 2x and One Handed proficiency (can't remember it's name exactly). So in that one handed proficiency bonus for 1 dot is 19-20 crit and +1 AC. My question is: when my char wields katana does this +1AC count in?
Could you please clarify this to me?

    @foma_mgppu, the answer is yes: the AC and critical chance bonuses apply whenever your character wields a one-handed weapon in one hand and no weapon or shield in the other hand.
