Oh my God. These stats.

So in all the years I've played Baldur's Gate, I never really realized I was 'cheating'. I've always played on Normal, I didn't know there was any other way. So I started reading, and you guys really spoiled me. Now all I want to do, all I could think about, is the no-reload Core rules way of playing -- randomly generated hitpoints, monsters doing full damage, permanent death for chunking, and (most importantly) when rolling Ability Scores not touching the + or - buttons. Basically just roll and what you get is what you get. Now, I'll allow myself a few rerolls, I thought. I don't want my Cavalier to have 12 STR after all.
So I stored my first stats (which were not bad, an 85: 16 STR, 14 DEX, 16 CON, 10 INT, 12 WIS, 17 CHA).
Then I hit the reroll button.
Once.
Not bad. Not bad at all.
ONWARD TO GLORY!

While I think I managed a 102 once with a Cleric/Ranger (naturally I rerolled because of the crappy strength percentile, *cough*), my "proudest" roll is definitely 99 for an Elven F/M/T.
Who then died in a bandit ambush at level 2.
98 on your second roll? That's something I've never experienced.
But I never had a sum of 100 or more in any character.
