Icewind Dale Voicesets

I am a big fan of the Icewind Dale Voicesets (and HOW). In particuliar, there is a Dwarven voice that is just terrific, "I'll dip my beard in his blood . . . (or something to that effect)." He, Kagain, and Yeslick may need to join forces. Is there a way to use these voices in Baldur's Gate? I don't think I can just copy and paste the files. Also, will the portraits be included from IWD? Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere!

    I imagine there's probably some kind of legal reason why they can't include IWD content in BG, but you may be able to transfer things over yourself, I don't know. I think I read that there are new voice sets to try out, though :)

    Here it is! http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_soundsets2.php Icewind Dale Voice Pack Converter by Greystar (Submitted): This program will convert all Icewind Dale I or II's character voice packs to Baldur's Gate 2's formats (IWD1/2 and BG2 must be installed first).

    Seems like a reasonable request. More voice set woulda be welcome plus the new ones being implemented.

    The developers don't have access to any IWD related assets, so no sound sets or portraits will be included in the game, but there is nothing to stop you from porting it over yourself.

    This is great. I hope it will work with the EE. I think I know how to port the portraits over myself, too. So, this should solve the voiceset query for me. Thank you for the quick reply!

    All male (33) and female (20) Icewind Dale portraits (including those from Heart of Winter and Trials of the Luremaster), extracted and resized to work without alterations in Baldur's Gate 1 & 2.

    This has been very helpful. The voice pack converter for Icewind Dale and Icewind Dale 2 worked like a charm. Thanks for the recommendation. @Zafiro Thanks for the portraits, too.

    Reviving this thread for a quick question. Does anyone know if the sound sets listed on Sorcerer's Place are compatible with EE? I'd love to input my IWD files again.

    If anyone has extracted the IWD1 / BG2 soundsets and gone through the process of giving them the correct names for different actions, would they kindly post it?

    I like the dwarf set also. Tony Jay did a lot of good voices in games.

    Does anyone know of a place I can download these? I have them in the correct folder but they only place one sound in game. I'm not very proficient at computer programming and would love to have those voice sets work correctly

    This thread explains how to get Custom Soundsets working until the problem is fixed by the devs.
