Cleave ability

I'm trying to create (code) the cleave feat from IWD/NWN ect...

Innate ability
If you kill a creature you get an immediate, extra melee attack against another creature in the immediate vicinity.

I was looking at Dorn's sword for idea's but I'm struggling to wrap my head around it, any advice would be appreciated.
