Do you need to complete Companion SoA quest to start ToB quest?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Hi guys just curious, am I able to do NPC quest like Dorn quest if I start on ToB straighaway?


Or I can only do ToB companion quest after completing SoA companion quest.

    Pretty sure you will be able to do the ToB quests regardless of whether you did the SoA or not.

    Oh so if i leave out Dorn Quest in SoA i wouldnt have to worry about not ever getting the Silver plate armor in ToB right? :D

    Shouldn't be an issue, particularly for fresh ToB starts.
