Savegame export

So will I be able to walk throw BG:EE and then export my character into vanilla BG2?
Or I should be waiting for BG2: EE

    BG and BG:EE characters/save games will not be compatible as too much has changed.

    Not only is is planned but it is already contractually agreed to regardless of the success of BG1:EE.

    I could have SWORE I heard somewhere that you could export to vanilla BG2. Don't listen to me though, I can't find any links.

    You can export BG character to vanilla BG II, however that will not take in account the actions or consequences of what you did in BG, at maximum, if some specific items where on your BG character when you exported it to BG II, they will be spreaded around the first dungeon (but only a real few items are recognized that way).
