I played BG and Icewind Dale years go and have just heard about BGEE recently. I loved the games!

Can anyone tell me if the EE will be available as boxed CD's in stores or only as a download. Does the download require that you have the original installed?

    For now, there is not going to be a Boxed Edition.

    The download doesn't require having the original, The original game is already included in the download file and its a seperate installation.
