Questions regarding achievement carry-over

I was planning on live-streaming a legacy of bhaal run on youtube when it was released, but I'd also like to help beta test it before release, since I have a knack for breaking the infinity engine. That said, when I downloaded the beta client I noticed that rather than add a new beta client, it seems to have overwritten my original client.

Are achievements going to be wiped when the patch is released? I'd prefer to have a clean achievement slate when I start up my livestream. Barring that, I note that social media shares have been encouraged for the beta, would livestreaming the beta be acceptable?

I've tried searching for achievement wipe information on the forum but I haven't found anything about it in the faqs or any threads on it.
