Soloing BG2 as Bard and doing the underground sewer Bard quest. Preprepped cast webs to bind that mob of enemies near Merkath's cave entrance, summoned a flesh golem and went to town with the wand of cloudkill. Flesh golemn dies my bard retreats and the enemy mage advances. In the middle of the cloudkill wave literally took poison damage and flinched in the middle of casting. Released a stun got damaged again then released a FOD while inhaling toxic vapors. If it were the other way around my mages would never get of a spell while taking poison unless equipped with Vecna and the power ammy. Is this legit or bugged?

Other instances similar like this have happened when enemies were in a state of panic. The mages scrabble about but some how randomly shoot melfs and lightning bolts ignoring conditions. Thoughts?

There have been various reports of such weirdly inconsistent spell-interruption behavior. Are you using any mods, particularly SCS? Some spells in SCS are scripted and ignore casting failures.

I have this happen a lot in my non-SCS playthroughs. I do use other mods, though, so it could be something else.

There is the hidden concentration check. Sometimes, a spellcaster may still pull of the spell he was casting when he takes damage. I have seen it happen with my own casters, as well as enemies. Small damage like the cloudkill does per tick, may not be enough to disrupt enemy spell casters, or yourself, SOMETIMES. Note that apparently, clerics have better chance to pull this off, so you can not rely on damage to disrupt a cleric unless you do tons of damage. Mages get disrupted pretty easily in comparison, though it is not a %100 certainity. There is always a slim chance that the caster will grit his teeth through the pain and the spell will be succesfull.

Note that some enemies are scripted to force-cast their spells so they never get disrupted. The fight you mentioned, I think, is not one of them.

Today's the 1st I've heard of SCS. Nonetheless, a few features of my game app is bugged I've noticed. For instance, equipment stats are no longer visible in the equipment panel. In Umar Hills after activating the mirror a horde of shadows crowded my char beneath the shard and only 2 wereaffected by the beam. Made absolutely no sense.

I play on an android phone (galaxy S4 mini to be accurate), and I have had this bug a couple of times.
What I did to solve it was moving every BG-related file in the "data" section somewhere else in the phone (Saves and stuff), start the game, then close it and copy back my stuff where it should be

Using an Android Samsung model myself. I'll give it a shot. Oddy enough this only affects BG2EE not BGEE.

It's legit. Concentration checks work in such a way that rarely even if the mages gets hits 100 times while casting he's still going to throw out that spell.
Basically you either fail or have 100% chance of casting it despite the continuous damage. Happens with player characters too. It's far more common for the mage to get disrupted though.
