Add new area(s) beyond BG City

Hi all !

I've always wanted explore new areas in the North of BG City. As you may know there's a gate at the north of the city, but you can't go beyond it.

It could be nice to add one or two areas, something on the coast, there are some island according to maps. And if I'm not mystaken, in the port district, there's a sailor who speaks about a journey on the Sea of Swords. That could be a new quest to justify new areas.

What do you think about that ?

    I always wanted to get out of the city from the northern gate... if adding new areas to the game I think it should north of the city as you said.. :)

    You mean Northern Tales of the Sword Coast? It is already a mod for vanilla BG1. It's a big mod that adds some new areas and quests.

    ah yeah, but I didn't play that mod and seems very overpowered (weapons/enemies).

    I suspect many mods will introduce what you are requesting, just have a little patience ;)
