What is the maximum number of possible kits that can be installed in 2.0?

I understand that the engine will not allow a user to install more than 255 kits (or something like that). I understand that, as of 2.0, we now have scroll bars for kit selection. So, I figured, why not ask? So...

What is the maximum number of possible kits that can be installed in 2.0?
