Bugs with THACO and Strength under new version

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Lovely new version of the game chaps, but when I loaded my current BG2:EE game, it seemed like my party was cutting through enemies a bit too easily. I checked the stats and found that all party members had somehow been gifted 25 strength and a base THACO of -20. What on Earth has happened?!

    I've checked other saved games for other characters and they don't have the same glitch. I guess I've just lost my poor half elf lesbian cleric-mage.... :(

    Turn off Story Mode.

    If you load an existing save game, we have a glitch with story mode. Disable story mode, set your difficulty, save and load.
