Loaded party without items

In the battle against Sarevok, Viconia, Kagain, Branwen and Coran died. Letting just the main character and Edwin alive.
When I loaded this Final Save game to Siege of Dragonspear, all of them were alive, but just the Bhaalspawn and Edwin had their items. Viconia, Kagain, Branwen and Coran were naked.
What should I do to fix this? If I load a save prior to the final battle, will I loose anything in SoD? The "Final Save", after defeating Sarevok, is special in anything for Siege of Dragonspear? I would be glad if a moderator could answer me this as soon as possible, so I can start playing the game.
