Difficulty setting

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
After patch my difficulty settings keep resetting.....
This annoys me to no end!
Is there any way to stop it from doing that?

    It's a brown paperbag bug in the 2.0 release. It will need a fix soon. More and more players run into this. Browse the forums a bit for the several topics that discuss the symptoms. Basically, what you need to know is: Everytime you start the game, the difficulty slider is reduced by one position down, consecutively down to "Easy". The difficulty of your current game is stored in the savegame file itself, however. But "Legacy of Bhaal" savegames revert to "Insane" when ever reloading saves unless you load them twice as a work-around. Then they stay at LOB mode.
