Increasing frame rate with the baldur.ini file...

So heading into C:\Users\\Documents\Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition the baldur.ini file sits there. This little gem of a file allowed me (in the past) to go to the line called
" 'Program Options', 'Maximum Frame Rate', ''," and edit it to say 45 or 60 or whatever to make the game "run" a bit faster. Mind you this sped up all animations. However since I reinstalled the game with the release of BG: SoD it's constantly locked to 30 FPS. Even if I edit this line to 60 or 45.

What gives, beamdog? This has always worked before and now I'm forced to play the game at a grindingly slow 30 FPS. Has anyone found a solution for this perhaps?

Same problem here on baldur's gate 2 enhanced edition. Since the update the game is unplyable for me because i always play with 50 / 60 fps. Editing baldur.ini or the new baldur.clua doesn't change a thing. Big disapointement...

Indeed, this seems broken since the last update. :/

baldur.ini has been deprecated. baldur.lua has all of the options in it now, including Maximum Frame Rate.

Edit: If you're finding that your changes aren't saved or acknowledged, it may be due to the name of the filepath for your Documents folder. If your computer uses non-ASCII characters in that file path, that could be part of the problem (in which case we're looking into it).
