Baught the game, was happy to play it after 15 years.
Default selected language in options was french. That's good, because I'm french.
Spent 3 hours to decide which character I would play.
Start the history.
Talk to the first character, and this is what I see (see screenshot).

As a temporary workaround, you can find here a French text patch mod I wrote. Some of the texts will be translated (taken from BGEE itself of Icewind Dale EE, such as priest of Tyr kit) and you'll get English texts instead of placeholder for the others.
