Character dialogues and sounds completely screwed?

Started out in Candlekeep yesterday. Characters sounds seem to be completely off. I even get voiced lines from characters that are not in the party (for example Jaheira lamenting Khalids death, although both are alive and out of the party). And when meeting up with Vic, it was actually Tiax voice who greeted me (imagine my surprise). Neera's introduction dialogue for completely off sync. And more... Anyone else experiencing this?

If your installations are 100% guaranteed to be nothing more that what's downloaded from the distribution source (i.e. you've visually inspected your game directory for files from past mods you've installed or you've JUST installed both games fresh from your distribution source 100% without overwriting anything previously installed) let us know.
I assume you've tried rebooting your computer first? What OS? What Distribution Method (steam, gog, beamdog), and most importantly: Do you have any non-beamdog supplied files anywhere in your installation?
Thanks!
I have no mods whatsoever (although I do use EE:Keeper to change colors and a stat every now and then). To my override, I have only added a few portraits of the NPCs (for example to give Viconia her BG2 portrait) and two or three slightly changed items (for example Claw of Kazgaroth loosing it's blur effect after ten seconds). I have rebooted the computer but the problems persist.
Neera often asks for "Tenser's floating bandage" although she's not even hurt, Tiax (still not in party) drops a line once in a while, and subtitles rarely corresponds to what people are actually saying. EDIT: This last one was actually Rasaad dropping his line "I will show you justice" when showing off in Nashkell but it was voiced by Tiax saying I am to dumb to live.
Windows 10, installation through the Beamdog client.
Can someone with this issue please post a saved game? I'm going to try to run a bit of BG.
To be clear, you had Baldur's Gate EE installed, and then downloaded/installed SoD. You are then accessing BG:EE by opening BG:SoD and clicking the "Baldur's Gate" Icon down at the bottom in the initial campaign Select screen correct?
I have attached one save here (zipped).
So here's what I suspect is going on: When upgrading from BG:EE to SoD what's happened is old 1.3 (previous Production BG:EE version) content has gotten merged in to BG:EE 2.0 and SoD 2.0 content. This happens because when the beamdog client downloads SOD it actually Replaces the 744 / BG:EE Directory with an 806 / BG:EE/SoD Combined Directory, merging all existing content in to the new 806 directory.
Prior to sometime friday afternoon (I think) the flag to remove/delete existing content from the directories when downloading the new SoD game was not set, allowing for this kind of thing to happen.
Here's how I'd recommend fixing this: Go into your Beamdog/Games directory on disk (wherever you have it installed), and delete your 806.status file the restart the Beamdog Client.
This should cause the client to denote that SoD Is not installed, and when you click the installation on SoD it should re-verify all the files in your existing SoD Directory, deleting anything that shouldn't be there and re-downloading anything missing.
This SHOULD fix your game. BTW, if you're scared about slow download times, my Beamdog client completed it's 3.7G Installation in just under 5 minutes at 10MB / s this morning, so I think most of the slow download issues are behind us.
If this DOES NOT WORK, your next best bet is to actually DELETE the 806 directory, the 806.status file and the 806.beam file, close the client and re-download. This should absolutely fix your issue.
Please let me know either way if it does or does not fix the issue so we can either figure it out from there or add it to our understanding of what's going wrong.
Thanks for the reply. I'll try that and see whether that clears things up.
Deleting the status and restarting the client and verifying files seems to have cleared up my issue as well. All the barks and VOs that I noticed were messed up are corrected now from what I could tell with a few minutes of testing. Thanks again!
Good luck in the game, let us know how you feel about it!
