Some of my portraits not working properly?

They all work fine in BGEE. But some of them in SoD are "showing up"(as in I can click through them), but I don't see anything but a black empty space.

Meanwhile, some other portraits that are in the EXACT same format are fine. Most of my portraits use 169x266 dimensions and of course, they're in 24 bmp.

Some of them work, a lot of them don't.

Help?

Same here. I am not sure but may be because of the extension, there was a bug like that on ipad, the game did not recognise if the extension was .bmp instead of .BMP or was it the other way around? Haven't tried with the sod, though. I have no idea why, all of those portraits used to work in bg1, 2 and iwd pre-beta and now some of them mysteriously come up as black empty space.

I noticed this with a few of mine too, and the problem was that they had multiple capital letters in the title. Try switching the names so only the first letter is capitalized. That took care of it for me.

Well, at least it's not just me.

Thanks for the suggestion, Gugulug! I'll try that next.

I had this problem, I changed the titles of portraits so they wouldn't contain capital letters and it worked.

Huh. Was just making a half-orc character and noticed finally which of my portraits didn't show up; the half-orc ones, and the half-drow ones. Which I had named HOrc# and HDrow#. Wondered if just maybe it was the naming convention that made them not appear, so I removed the second capital letter on some of the portraits and vóila! They work again.

So it's not the file names having capital letters (all of mine start with one still) but rather multiple or maybe spesifically multiple in a row.

EDIT: Checked just now. My YuanT portrait works just fine. So it's having 2 or more capital letters in a row that caused the issue for me.

Think we should get a bug report started for this?

That is a pretty ridiculous way for them to not show up. I noticed about half of my portraits don't work so I renamed them all to lower case and it worked.

    well...
