Bash lock bug

StormvesselStormvessel Member Posts: 654
If a lock is too great to bash open, for some reason selecting your entire party and using the attack command on the lock causes it to open everytime. I don't know if this is because the game is applying the bash scores collectively or some other reason, but I just thought I would report it because it can't possibly be an intended feature.

@tls5669 Pretty sure you know it already, but you simply attack it.

Another secret technique friends. Temporarily set the game to Story Mode and crush those pitiful locks into dust with your sweet biceps.

I've noticed that this method is hit or miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. My character is the strongest in the party, and I just found it weird that I can try several times to bash it, but then when I use the party it works.

I always found it funny that even someone with 25 strength only has an 80% chance to bash a lock open. Don't some gods only have like 24 strength? Someone should find this locksmith!

Yes, it should be 100% at 25 - but I know why it's not. Clerics would render Thieves moot. They can already detect traps and dispel illusions. Put 100% bash @ 25 strength and DUHM lets the Cleric open all locks, too. Or a Cleric wielding Crom Faeyr.
