@rapsam2003 and @fkirenicus - The great thing is that right now, you can both get what you want. @fkirenicus can have the long scrolling list of everything in the "Information" view; @rapsam2003 can click over to "Combat Stats" to view just the information related to combat.
As Tevye would say, "He is right; he is also right." In this particular instance, agreeing to disagree is a totally acceptable course of action. The current implementation gives both of you what you want, at least on that specific point.
@Magnus_Grelich Let's try to 1) stay on topic, 2) refrain from discussing people.
The OP is concentrated on the new UI from 2.0 version and a chance (or a lack of it) to return to the UI from 1.3 version.
While it indeed may be disappointing for some players, you still have to try to offer constuctive critique, so that the developers knew what exactly you would like to see/to be changed.
Ever since 2.0 version went into the public beta, players have been sharing their opinions and views on new features, and UI among them. It has been stated in the patch notes that the UI is a subject of further tweaking.
As Dee pointed out in this thread, you can create Redmine tickets, or you can express you views on the forum, but it would help everyone if while doing so you give more than just talking about your attitude towards the developers.
No, it is *not* intuitive. It is the antithesis of intuitive. "Folks like myself"? You mean people who give a rat's ass about the quality of the game? I'd like to say I was sorry if my view disgruntled you, but I'm really not. I know Beamdog pretty much has the rights to the game now, I get that. Still, why all these changes? They take away from the original aesthetic of the game, and make it into something cold and cheap-looking. That is my constructive critique, I have voiced my very legitimate concerns on the direction this all seems to be heading. I do not believe it is for the benefit of new players, there was no problem with the interface as it was, and I'm someone who has trouble with interfaces.
On top of that, the sound effects and voices are now intermittent, and no amount of tinkering with the settings has helped. Another side-effect of the changes.
You can't treat your customers like this, guys. It really is unacceptable.
