Encounter design

The idea of this thread is to discuss encounter design in SoD. Please put anything regarding specific encounters in spoiler, but general observations are fine without.

Personally, I feel there are too many moderately challenging encounters, e.g. spiders or undead, which you can easily win but also lose if you just point of click.

Personally, I like a mix of challenging unique encounters and easier filler combat, which can be done via point by click.

Some specific notes


Undead in dwarven cave

Liked the dwarven lich and the throne room fight. Too many large filler groups of undead.

Green dragon

Ok, but not that challenging or interesting.

Temple of Cyric

A few cultists too much, but otherwise great. Four interesting battles.
