Crash with multiplayer

Hi everyone,

Me and a friend buyed BG: (supposed) Enhanced edition with the intention to play together...
...long story short:

- We can't join each other
- We can't join 90% of the games in the lobby

We solved, in part, this problem using Hamachi...so we now can enter the lobby together but...
everytime we start a game. Every single time...the Host crash.
Every single time.

We bought the game on Steam (both of us) and we have ONLY BG: EE not the latest dlc (fortunally...since the core game doesn't work as intented)
Both of us have Windows 10
Both of us have Nvidia gpu (GTX 770 MSI and GT 630)

Someone else have the same problems?
There is a solution for this or the refund is the way?

Thank you for the answer

not sure if it's win10 compatible but, go into your baldurs gate file, edit the options of baldur.exe set the compatibility to either win 95 and run as admin, or win 7 (since the game runs fine on that without an issue)

It is not a compatibility problem. The multiplayer is totally broken -_-

We're working hard on cleaning up the MP issues, but for now here's a work around.

Since you have Hamachi set up, try doing a direct connection.

On the Host, you need to check "Local Network Connection" when setting up the game
On the Cleint, you need to pick "Direct Connect" and enter the IP address of the Host

If you get connected this way, the Client will pop up a dialog that won't go away (known issue). Keep hitting Cancel until the UI (including the dialog) is gone. Hit R to bring up the character record and you are good to go.
