    i know this is consider a small issue, but this portrait doesnt seem right and looks broken. the other weapon portraits are fine. i uninstalled the couple of mods that i had and its still like this. any reason why? i also noticed the large shield picture is missing. i reinstalled the game and the same issues.

    Had the same issue with Spider's Bane +2 just after 2.0 came out (before SoD). Then I accidentally the whole game (installed SoD, have experimented with SCS), broke everything, reinstalled it from the very scratch, loaded the same save, checked the Spider's Bane and it had a normal portrait. So maybe it's related to not having clean install, dunno.

    seriously doesnt anymore know how to sort these issues?

    There are a few items with this bug, its a known issue and there is already a ticket for such items.
